Mt. Daisen Hiking Trip

Mount Daisen is a dormant stratovolcano in Tottori Prefecture, the highest mountain in the Chugoku region. It has an elevation of 1,729 meters.  This route takes you through one of the largest beech forests in western Japan to the summit of the mountain, which has magnificent landscapes that overlook the Sea of Japan.

The bus departs from in front of the Outdoor Recreation office at 5 AM and will return around 10 PM.

• Cost: $50
• Open to all base personnel, ages 12 and older.
• Max No. of participants: 16
• Available at the Outdoor Recreation office (Bldg. 1010) from September 25 until October 24.
