Interested in creative crafting opportunities? Well, MCCS has a wide variety from which to choose! In a self-directed environment we assist our patrons with learning skills which will last a lifetime. They include framing, engraving and woodworking which are taught through instructional classes and lessons.

The Wood Hobby Shop provides low-cost laser engraving services to imprint unique messages and designs onto almost any surface. We have Epilog CO2 Laser Engraving Systems. This great laser engraver can engrave, cut or mark on many different materials. If you can print a design, you can engrave it!

• Engrave & Cut: Acrylics, Corian, Cork, Delrin, Matte Board, Melamine, Paper, Laserable Plastic, Pressboard, Wood and Wood Veneer
• Engrave Only: Wood, Anodized/Coated Metals, Ceramic, Glassm Marble, Fiberglass, Leather, Rubber, Tile and more
• Laser engraving shuts down one hour prior to closing

Measure Twice, Cut Once?

We have all the wood and tools you need to make entertainment centers, plaques, shadow boxes, cutting boards, shelves and more! With just a minimal fee of $3.00 per hour for the use of the shop and tools, you can get right to being creative! Patrons can also purchase woodworking supplies and lumber to build or repair woodwork, craft and hobby items. We offer a great selection of tools and power equipment to satisfy any level of woodworker. Experienced staff members are on hand to assist you with your project, and lumber is available at the facility for purchase. Clean up starts 30 minutes before closing.

Please call for current pricing and selection information. Patrons must attend a FREE 60 min safety class prior to using this facility. The classes are held every Saturday at 11am and Wednesday at 5pm. Safety classes are not required for patrons wanting laser engraving only.
