Read Across America with Marine Corps MWR Libraries March 2-6, 2025

Every March, readers band together in classrooms, libraries, and book clubs to celebrate the National Education Association’s (NEA) “Read Across America” during National Reading Month.  

Designed to inspire a love of literature, a foundation in literacy, and confidence in a nation of diverse readers, the NEA provides thematic reading lists and free educational resources and activities. 

You can Read Across America with your local Marine Corps Morale, Welfare and Recreation library.   

Sign up for special reading challenges like Camp Pendleton’s Rise and Read-a-thon, or stop by for a special Storytime, such as MCRD San Diego’s certified therapy dog story time.  

Head over to MCCS South Carolina for a Dr. Seuss Birthday Party featuring an appearance by the Cat in the Hat and finish your journey with a Read Across America challenge at MCAS Cherry Point.
