Start the School Year With an A+

Join us Sat., Aug. 12, 9AM-noon, for GEICO Military Kids’ Day: Back to School Edition at the beautiful MCAS New River Marina. This special event brings families, educators, and sponsors together to create a network of support and encouragement and inspires lasting connections within our military community.

MCCS is proud to partner with local sponsors to ensure our children are equipped for success both inside and outside the classroom. This event features an abundance of services and support, including free backpacks filled with essential school supplies and free vision screenings. DODEA and Onslow County School representatives will also be on site to share valuable education resources.
 
MCCS also has plenty of fun planned for recess! Be sure to check out the free Snow Cones (provided by Marine Chevrolet), foam pit, slime-making station, balloon animals, dry and water inflatables (bring your swimsuit, sunscreen, and towel), and much more! Food will also be available for purchase (while supplies last).
 
Julie Fulton, MCCS School Liaison Officer, summed it up well, saying, “We are overjoyed to be part of this incredible event. GEICO Military Kids' Day Back to School Edition provides a unique opportunity for our military families to come together, celebrate education, and access invaluable resources.
